ABSTRACT:
For institutions working towards comprehensive internationalization, a diverse international student body is not a contingency, but a precondition for success. A diverse international student population contributes to the financial health of institutions, helps create a network of international alumni, and has a positive impact on both learning outcomes and the global citizenry of domestic students. The poster will highlight the importance of and methods for increasing diversity in international enrollment management as part of a larger effort to comprehensively internationalize institutions in the Asia Pacific region. The poster will further provide recommendations for creating the welcoming and inclusive environment necessary for supporting a diverse international student body.
