The Asia-Pacific region in a global rankings context

How are universities in the Asia-Pacific region performing in comparison with their global peers? In what areas are they excelling and where are there opportunities for growth? How has strategic local and regional investment in the sector impacted rankings? This session will dive deeply into the data that underpins the 2019 THE World University Rankings and Asia University Rankings to reveal trends and challenges within the region and around the world. It will focus on the diversity of countries in the Asia-Pacific region and how varying education policies are impacting performance in the rankings.

- Identify strategic strengths and weaknesses, and therefore areas of opportunity, at the institutional, national and regional level
- Understand available global reputation data and how to use it effectively to shape strategy
